Who is L.A. for Choice?
L.A. for Choice is an all-volunteer group dedicated to promoting peaceful and safe access to reproductive health clinics in Los Angeles.
What does L.A. for Choice do?
We provide escorts to ensure a peaceful and reassuring presence for patients, their companions and staff. For more about what our escorts do, please see our Clinic Escort Primer.
Why is L.A. for Choice necessary?
Anti-choice protesters intimidate or harass anyone who provides or uses services at reproductive health clinics. L.A. for Choice helps counter these protesters’ acts of harassment and intimidation so they remain open and accessible for all. We escort at the invitation of clinic owners and in cooperation with local law enforcement.
When are escorts needed?
Currently escorts are needed for shifts on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (one shift) and Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (three shifts)
How do I become a clinic escort with L.A. for Choice?

How do I become a clinic escort in my city?
Check our resources page for links to abortion service providers and other clinic escorts. Interested in escorting but don’t see your city on the list? Clinic escorts often coordinate with local pro-choice organizations, so ask your chapter of NARAL, NOW, FMF or Planned Parenthood if they know about a group in your area. Or, contact your local clinic and ask how you can help!
